iPad Use and Care

Elkhart has committed to purchasing 14,500 iPads over the next three years at a cost of over six million dollars (including apps, case, insurance, etc). The purpose of these devices is to enhance instruction and provide opportunities for students to explore the material independently.

Because we all - teachers and students - benefit from this investment, it is our responsibility to take care of the devices as if they were our own. If they become damaged or destroyed, that is one less resource for you to use in your teaching and learning.

The district also maintains two files: the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Technology Use Agreement (TUA). These documents give details on how the devices may - and may not - be used during your studies. In this module, you will learn about these documents and show your understanding through a small project.
